There are many different reasons for redesigning packaging, but you don’t want to run into this right away, since it’s a big decision for many people. It’s exciting to redesign a package, but it doesn’t come free, and if you don’t take time to properly facto that in, you’re going to waste some serious time, and also money too. You should figure out if you can afford this, and you should look at all of the factors that come with redesigning this, and also get that ballpark estimate on what it’ll cost you, and whether or not it’s possible to fund this or if it should be scrapped. 



Packaging isn’t just the materials as well, it’s the machinery that’s used with the materials, but also the human labor that’s put into this. Even if you’re looking to replace humans with automaton, you still need someone to run it. Speaking of automation, that’s another part of this. Automaton is great and all, but the problem with it is, it does eat up electricity and other resources. Finally, you want to consider who you’re changing the packaging for. Is it for yourself? Is it to help ease the demand for eco-friendly packaging? Is there a customer who demanded changes to this? This is something you should also consider too, since if you’re doing this because of a major issue, then yes, it’s something that must be considered. If you’re doing it for your own personal gain and needs, then you may be able to hold off on it until you have the budget for such. 



Otherwise, you can run out of money. But whatever you choose to do with packaging, know that it depends on a lot of factors, but by answering this, you’ll have an idea of not only your budget, but also the capabilities of the packaging, and what you need in terms of machinery or materials possible in order to accomplish the goals at hand. 

It’s essential to do all of this, and figure out whether you can afford these changes, and whether or not it’ll be a good investment for your ROI, and if it'll produce the sales and different opportunism that’ll be profitable.
